Have you had any meaningful travel to see the band?
In Honduras (C.A) where big bands events are almost nonexistent, I loved 80´s Rock and Pop and since I discovered DM I made the promise that someday I would have to see them.
In early 2005 DM announced his tour "Playing The Angel 2005/2006" I set out to process my visa to travel to the USA, buying ticket for the date Nov 27/2005 at the Miami A.A. but in Aug /Sep 2005 was the Hurricane Carina, that did a lot of damage including the forum where DM would be presented, so a few days before my arrival it was announced that the concert was moving to Tampa, so already being in Florida with a very limited budget take a mid-night economic bus to travel and get to the St Peter Forum. That way I witnessed that tour, so even the hurricane could not avoid attending and being able to see DM how I proposed it as a teenager.
Hello to all DM fans I am Mario Valerio from Tegucigalpa, Honduras (C.A) first of all I want to acknowledge DM Team for giving me this opportunity. Since I was a child I had always been a music lover, I started my “Faith and Devotion” with DM on late 80´s when I was in middle school, a friend took me to the Radio Station where he worked. One day he received a box full of promotional 45 rpm discs from the record labels and one of them was “Strangelove”
Loved that “Clean” and “Sweetest Perfection” sound that left me amazed; it was somehow darker than most of the Pop-Synth songs back then and 30 years later I am still enjoy the “Sounds of the Universe". Thanks for giving me this opportunity to share with you today.
DM Decor & My Devoted Dog:
My movie room has posters all over it. Framed tickets, and the Violator CD & cover is framed by itself. And the T-shirt’s and CDs and DVDs. I’ve tried to explain how great the concerts are. That it feels like the collective body of people become one. Almost a spiritual experience. I love Never Let Me Down when the crowd gets so involved. Everyone is waving their hands and when Martin sings Home. It’s wonderful! What are the songs that you look forward to hearing and why? New or old.
I also think my Great Pyrenees likes Depeche Mode. As a puppy he took a bite out of the corner. I got to him before he crunched on the CDs/DVDs inside!
DM's music is the soundtrack of my life. I know a lot of people have said that too but it's true.
My sister died in July 2004 from triple negative Breast Cancer. I was diagnosed in September 2004 with the same thing. I've been fine for 13 years :). The music helped me through my sisters death, my own diagnosis, My mother's death. This is not to be a sad post. It's about how the music helped me get through all these things.

Do you have a devoted significant other?
I met my husband, Ed, in 2014. I introduced him to DM, he loves them also. He’s amazed with the music and how unique it is. When the Spirit tour was announced it started. I told him before we got married every time they tour I get this way. I bought 6th row seats. Closest I could get. He did not understand how I could pay so much for a ticket. I reminded him that I had told him I would become my DM self when they toured. He didn’t realize it would be this extreme. But he did something so sweet. I was in the kitchen, Personal Jesus playing, I turn around and there he is. Dressed as Dave Gahan.
